What a WEEK it has been! I know I'm slightly behind with this post, but can you blame a girl?! I was in the hospital on the first day of early access and I made a quick order just so I could get a chance to pick up the pieces I wanted before they sold out, which happens every year. I've definitely learned that the hard way! It was a wild week to say the least and honestly the Anniversary sale was pretty much the last thing on my mind until this morning when I got my gigantic box of goodies (the first of four, I believe) just in time for the public sale to start tomorrow!
For those of you that are not Nordstrom card holders and don't understand what all of this Nordstrom craziness is, basically this is the biggest sale of the year (of ANY retailer) when Nordstrom releases brand new fall product at reduced prices for a limited time. So that's BRAND. NEW. ON. SALE. Yep, and it WILL go back up in price eventually so that's why everyone is so frantic to shop as quickly as they can! In my experience, I buy everything I think I might want, even if it is just a maybe because if it sells out and I never got a chance to try it I get super bummed out. SO, if you are not a card holder and haven't gotten the opportunity to shop the early access portion of the sale, tomorrow is your DAY. The one tip I have for you is to make sure you have a game plan, and to log on early knowing exactly what you need (item numbers, sizes, colors, etc) to make sure you're able to pick up everything you want before it sells out, which WILL happen if it hasn't already.
For this first portion of my order, I made sure to pick up items that would most likely be re-stocked, for the public sale. Lot's of basics, boots, sweaters, etc. Bear in mind I just had a baby one week ago to this day so I'm not in my best shape, but I did want to give you all a real representation of what each item looks like on!
I will also link everything I'm wearing in a carousel at the bottom of the post (PS. make sure you read all the way to the end for a cute surprise!)

PS. I apologize for the dust on my mirror. I didn't actually notice until I uploaded the pictures.. Oops!
Starting off with these Marc Fisher beauties. Originally priced at $229.95 on sale for $150! Such a good OTK boot if you love the look of the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots but don't want to shell out the $ for a designer shoe (although they are on sale for 40% off of their original $800!). They run true to size, I got mine in my normal size 9.5, and they fit comfortably with socks, as far as I can tell they'll be super comfortable, true to Marc Fisher style!
This sweater is my favorite piece for sure! Originally $65, on sale for $42.90, PICK THIS UP ASAP. I know it will go really fast, I'm planning on grabbing the yellow color as well since I know I'll be wearing it all the time in the fall. The length is perfect, just a little cropped on my 5'9" frame which is great because I love to front tuck everything and this piece is no exception. Can we just pause for a second and have a moment for the back detailing on this baby?! SO good! I could not be happier with this piece.
These tees will for sure to be my go-to when it starts getting cooler out, they are lightweight, perfectly oversized without being too huge, and the sleeve length is long enough for me which is rare for a long sleeved shirt. I love the pocket detail, and the material is so soft. They'll be the perfect layering piece for any fall outfit! My only regret is picking them up in two colors, I wish I had gotten my hands on the black and white striped one before it sold out. All of the other colors are still in stock though!
I had been looking for a good pair of grey boots when I found these, and they are SO perfect! They hit just above my knee (if you're shorter than 5'9" they'll be more of a true OTK boot on you) and I'm loving the sort of western detailing on the top and foot area. Vince Camuto is still one of my favorite shoe brands, so far they have not let me down in terms of comfortability and wearability of their shoes! They also stay in great condition for a long time, even when I worked retail I wore my favorite Vince Camuto heels all the time and three years later they're still kickin'!
This sweater is such a pretty color! I love the length and the weight of this piece too. Another perfect layering piece for fall, and I'm loving it paired with these leopard mules (I'll link some similar NSALE ones too!). Unfortunately this style is currently sold out in most sizes (there are a few xxl and xs!), but it is a Nordstrom brand item so it most likely will be back for the public sale, I'll keep you posted on Instagram!
Here's a close up of these beauties. They aren't actually a part of the sale but I bought them since a pair of under $60 leopard shoes I wanted from the sale sold out before I could grab them up (they're currently re-stocked, go figure). Sam Edelman is another brand that I feel like I can't go wrong with. Always so comfortable, always true to size and always hold up great! Anyway, you all are probably well aware of my loafer obsession, and I'm still so obsessed with these, and even though they're slightly pricier than their sale sister, I'll probably be buying the sale ones as well as keeping these!
Ahhh I love this cardigan so much! I am SUPER bummed though because it arrived with a hold in the pocket and it is currently sold out online. I've always loved the brand Dreamers since their sweaters are always super comfy and soft so I knew this one would be perfect before it arrived. It is so perfectly slouchy and casual! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for re-stocks so I can order another one that isn't damaged (and potentially more colors?) I'll let you know on Insta when/if it get's restocked!
If you made it all the way to the end, yay! Thanks for reading! Here's a little baby to brighten your day. I picked up these Baby Bling bows on sale, they're 3 for $20, normally $10 a piece! I always said I'd never put my little girl in bows like these but I literally cannot help myself. She is SO DARN CUTE! And since she doesn't have a lot of hair, accessories are key. Also, these Freshly Picked Moccasins, which NEVER EVER go on sale are currently $20 off their full price! Normally they're $60, in the sale they're only $40! Couldn't resist.
There ya have it! My first shipment of Anniversary Sale picks and so far nothing is going back to the store as anticipated haha! Keep an eye out for more posts coming your way that are #NSALE related. Let me know down below what your favorite picks are from this years selection, and if there's anything else I need!
