Casual Brunch Outfit + Meet My Blogger Besties!

The weekend routine lately has included coffee or brunch with my friends and this weekend was no exception! I wanted to be comfortable since I knew we’d be walking a round a lot so I opted for these super stretchy and soft ripped jeans I just got in from Pink Lily (my favorite online boutique)! I actually ordered them for a trip we have planned for the second weekend in March, you’ll have to wait to see where we’re headed but it’s going to be so much fun! This sweater I’ve had since fall and it’s perfect for transitioning into the warmer months, I’ll probably pair it with shorts as soon as it’s warm enough outside, so cute! My Favorite Ripped Jeans - Affordable Spring Essentials!

Although our weather has been completely wacko in Portland with alternating snow days mixed with days of sun and blue skies, I’ve decided to style more Spring looks for you all since I am impatient and ready for the season to change over already! This look in particular is versatile because it can be layered with a light jacket for chillier days like I did here. These shoes are also pretty covering and not completely full out warm weather footwear. Speaking of these shoes, I’ve had them for going on three years now and each year they sell out at the start of the year so if you’ve had your eye on them I wouldn’t wait! I also ordered these more affordable shoes this year that are very similar and just as comfortable, for those of you that aren’t ready to splurge.

This top is under $20 and the softest button up I own! I am always a sucker for stripes and for the price I couldn’t pass this one up. Also you’ve heard me rave about these jeans so much, a lot of you have picked them up for yourself as well! They are super affordable, perfectly high waisted and super stretchy. The color/style I’m wearing is called “Make it or Break it” I want them in every wash!

Gingham in The Tulip Field

I dragged my poor family out in the rain again for another floral photoshoot! This one has also been on my bucket list for a couple years, and this Spring I've finally gotten multiple opportunities to shoot with different photographers at this beautiful location! Located about 30 minutes away from us, these beautiful floral fields take up 40 acres of land in the middle of the nowhere in Woodburn, Oregon. It's amazing being able to live in a metropolitan city and be able to take a quick drive to these magical places. One of the many reasons I love living where I do! I shot with the amazing, talented Portland area photographer Brianna Swan who I've gotten to shoot with a few times now (if you're in the area check her out for family shoots, she is SO amazing) and I love how the shots turn out each time! Ok, ok. On to the pictures because I know that's the main reason you clicked over to this post. I'll start with the outfit details. Casual stripes + denim dinner date

I've been doing some major deal hunting lately and I found this metallic bag for just under 15 bucks a couple days ago. It's real leather and is a perfect sized tote for everything that I take to work with me on a daily basis. Plus it's unique and one can wear it as a neutral which is a definite asset in my book! 

I paired the look with gold jewelry since I'm still very much enjoying the mixed metals trend!

Tonight I wore this look to tapas with my boyfriend, we sat outside on the waterfront and listened to live music and it was an amazing end to my mid-week "weekend."

The sweetest wrap dress for summer

This dress is PERFECTION. I was hesitant to buy it because it is so different for me, usually I'm into dark colors, leather, grungy, 90's inspired sort of fashion, but my friend talked me into it and I am so happy she did. This summer is all about muted pastels and neutrals, and I'm slowly growing my collection of pieces within the color palette that are effortlessly chic, but also just plain effortless. 

...I'm slowly but surely teaching my boyfriend to be an instagram husband. I think he's doing great so far!

I paired this dress with an oldie but goodie Topshop jacket that I've had forever, its distressed which is an homage to my grungy personal style, but it is also in a light wash which makes it current and great for summer. It isn't available at the moment but Topshop has released it for a couple springs in a row so I wouldn't be surprised if they brought it back again (I also linked some really similar styles by the same brand, so check those out!) These booties are my trusty BP Trolleys, I have about 7 pairs in different colors and I wear them with 99% of my outfits for work, they are SO comfortable, basically the perfect bootie.
